In today’s busy world, change is a normal part of running a business. It is happening all the time, from the systems, materials and processes we use, to the manufacturers and suppliers with whom we work, and each day brings new changes and new challenges. As a kitchen & bath professional, you know how important it is to keep yourself and your customers focused on the end result: A beautiful new kitchen or bath. However, changes in resources, vendors, building codes, etc., can lead to stress and frustration for the homeowner and for you if you aren’t prepared with tools and techniques to help others through the process.
In this session, you'll learn about the importance of setting the right expectations, building trust, and enhancing short-term wins. You will learn how to use a tool called the Change Curve to assess where others are in the change process, and how to use that information to plan a communication strategy designed to help move your clients (or your colleagues) through their frustrations.
At the end of this session you will:
- Assess where you fit on the Change Curve during a residential kitchen or bath project.
- Assess where your client fits on the Change Curve during a residential kitchen or bath project.
- Develop a personal plan for moving your clients through the change process.
- Use the same techniques to help your business colleagues manage change.
