Join Chip Wade, AKBD, as he takes you on a sneak-peek journey into the process of using SketchUp for an on the spot design layout and visualization elevation.
You’ll learn about producing multiple design layouts in a number of minutes that are used in client presentations for either kitchen, bath or other renovations. Usually, the client is shown a small number of key views, often with different options that can be rotated around as they watch.
This program is a design tool used to experiment with different layouts of walls, cabinet styles, appliance and sink center layout, plumbing locations, electrical outlets and other features of a room. With a well-dimensioned model for the overall design, you can create dimensioned drawings and work out the little details that will help you avoid surprises during installation.
At the end of this session you will:
- Translate your knowledge of drawing software to utilize SketchUp features.
- Discover how you can produce quick and easy room design presentations for your client.
- Apply simple tools and techniques you can use to produce drawings of an overall design.
