AKBD Exam Preparation Program
This program prepares participants for the Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD®) examination by reviewing the four domains of competencies and skills required of a certified professional: planning design, construction/mechanical systems, business management, and products/materials. This comprehensive program utilizes all nine volumes of the latest NKBA Professional Resource Library (PRL).
The program is broken down into 30 individual courses, each taking approximately one hour to complete. Each session will cover topics and terms discussed within the corresponding volume found within the Professional Resource Library. Participants will have an opportunity to review these key concepts through a variety of activities and assessments built into each course. It is highly recommended participants have access to all nine volumes within the 2nd edition Professional Resource Library.
The AKBD® Exam Preparation sessions are intended to aid and compliment in exam preparation and not replace an in-depth study.
- Recognize common kitchen and bath terms found within the Professional Resource Library.
- Describe common kitchen and bath topics found within the Professional Resource Library.
- Measure exam preparedness through example exam questions.
